proper run-and-gun prodigal son
You put me up on this pedestal
where you are always watching...
and try as they might
no one else has ever been able to touch...
no one else can reach me
has it not yet occurred to you?
That from all the way up here...
heh...well, I can see you too
Got a bird's eye view, straight into you
Every dangerous, dark little deed you'll ever do
just makes me want you more
I closed my eyes...while you scrambled to hide the signs
But now I've forced myself to read between the lines
I'm deafened again by your lonely screaming inside
And starting to believe myriad dark angel whispers
that insist you've had a spell on you...is it true?
That it will only be a matter of time before you break through?
no, you may never know, let alone understand
The perfectly mad lengths I've gone to
Unless you can get over your fear of how deeply I really love you
No, I never stopped.....no, I can’t turn it off.....
You're my perfect Beauty and Beast.
Yes, you've always been...and will always be more than good enough.
Every time there's a change to the conditions
Of course there will always be a few suspicions
We all either evolve or meet our destruction
But I cannot abide any stagnation
The only paths I see are crossroads
Not all of them can be dead ends
Life is just a numbers game
So let's keep counting.

When something isn't "enough" to be a song, and doesn't have a tune but it's still catchy, I call it POETRY, and it goes HERE. And there is not a *THING* you can do to stop me.
